Lava & Snow? Incompatible

The Village Hidden in the Snow was considered a minor village in a minor country, a country who's population and ideals meant their views were irrelevant compared to those of the Major Villages. The village of snow was once in terms of power considered on par with the major villages but during recent years the village as a whole slowly fell off the radar. Perhaps due to concerns surrounding an altercation between Hyouzangakure and the Land of Snow. One would think the two villages would come to some sort of understanding due to how close in similarity the two villages were but in fact this wasn't the case. Due to the Land of Snows betrayal and treason  many years ago, like many of the other Minor villages they too cut themselves off from the rest of the world. The bad blood between the Iceberg Village and Snow Village was well known yet what Nanika couldn't comprehend was why was Kazangakure getting involved? If this was an issue between the two cold Villages why would Karumo send Nanika and one of the three  Sannin of Kazangakure to investigate the situation? Nanika had yet to personally meet the woman they called The Shadow's Embrace, Silveria Night but she didn't need to pay an information broker for info regarding Silveria, no. As a Genin Nanika and her adoptive Sister regarded Silveria with awe. While the two were of the same age as Silveria and practically passed her on numerous occasions in the Academy days Nanika hadn't actually been given the opportunity to express her.. adoration for the woman. Nanika wasn't one to express such feelings for another but while she grew from Academy Student to Chuunin Silveria had left the Village and traveled the shinobi world creating a reputation for herself. Nanika was ultimately envious of the woman but not in a distasteful way.

Nanika stood at the gates of the Volcanic Village awaiting her travelling companion and comrade for the mission they were assigned to. Nanika never understood Karumo's decision to send her of all people with Silveria on a mission to another village but for whatever the reason Nanika was thankful for the decision though should would never admit it, especially not to him. As soon as Silveria would arrive Nanika would slightly bow as demanded of a Lady of her stature before she spoke ''It is an honor to be participating in this mission Today alongside you my lady, I look forward to the time we spend on this mission'' Nanika was say with an emotionless face. The two Kunoichi had alot of ground to cover and as such they would converse during their trip or once they arrived at their destination, The Land of Snow.

A LAND OF PURE WHITE
HIDE BEHIND YOUR SHADOW
WHAT YOU'VE DONE IS
UNFORGIVABLE TO US ALL.
Silveria had awoken a little later this morning than normal, she hadn't had much sleep either because of some nightmares throughout the night. A shame too since today was the day she'd be accompanying a Chuunin girl to the Land of the Snow. She couldn't understand why she was being sent other than to keep the younger of the team safe, she wouldn't complain either way though.

With a raise of her feet from her bed, a shower and a swift dressing up, the woman was out the door and leaping rooftops in no time to try and get to the village gate. She'd have the misfortune of spotting one of her companions, the more self-centered of the Sannin, Kino, in his morning routine of training.

She ignored it and just moved on, there was hardly any time to go bug him right now and honestly she would have avoided him anyway. Just because they shared ranks and were teammates didn't mean they had to get along too peachy.

Speaking of peachy, Silveria had finally arrived at the gate, hanging upside down by it's top using chakra upon her feet to hold herself stable. It was only for a few seconds so that she could look at the Chuunin girl and assess her over. She seemed to be a pretty and young girl but held some level of class and charm that could hardly be denied. This would be quite the mission and she'd be amused to see how this kid would act.

Cutting off the circulation of chakra around her feet, the Sannin woman flipped three times before landing beside the other girl, brushing herself off and looking over, only now to see that upon her arrival the girl had bowed her head to her and spoke of how it was an honor. "Raise your head, you needn't bow to me, I'm not a Kage after all." Regardless of her Sannin title, she didn't seem to want to put herself much higher than the girl in front of her. "You don't need to be so polite either if you don't wish to. Just be yourself, I'd rather get to know you as that than anything else."

Silveria did smile a bit after saying that, wanting to try and at least show that while the Sannin was normally one to be quiet and away from others, she could be friendly if she tried and this girl would be no different from that fact. "Now then.. we should leave, we've got a lot to cover and we've got to go fast if we want to beat anyone else already ahead of us.

Nanika was surprised by the Sannin's sudden appearance but she not overly startled, she had grown accustomed to Shinobi of all ranks displaying a flare for dramatic entrances. While Silveria's entrance could hardly be considered flashy Nanika was still Impressed by the woman's confidence and surprisingly her humble attitude. Nanika hadn't expected Silveria to seem so.. normal and yet Nanika could still tell that the woman held herself well enough that she could tell she had earned her title as a legendary Sannin of Kazangakure. "Forgive me, as the higher ranking team member I thought it best to show the respect you deserve. Thank you for allowing me to dismiss formalities, they do get tiresome" the young female would reply as her body would relax allowing herself to become more casual, a sense of relief washing over her. Nanika surveyed the woman before her with curiosity 'Not what I was expecting at all'. Nanika would simply nod in approval as they left the village behind, Silveria was right, they had a few days travel ahead of them and they would want to arrive before any others so they would possesses an advantage if others were to reveal themselves.

After successfully rendezvousing with Silveria, who Nanika realized wasn't as intimidating as she'd assumed her to be the two would leave the Village gates behind. Nanika and Silveria would first travel toward the ports on the coast of Kazangakure in order to get off of the island of Yo No Kuni that they called home. The boat they'd take would then take them toward the mainland where The Land of Snow was situated. Nanika hadn't traveled so far from the Village so their journey would be considered an adventure for the young newbie, a sense of pride displaying in her demeanor. In truth Nanika wasn't sure what to expect after leaving Yo No Kuni's border but she'd be ready.

Nanika kept an eye on her surroundings as they approached the port where their ferry would await them, they had been lucky enough to receive the use of the Kanetsu' Clans personal boat and crew to take them to their destination. Being the Heiress of the Kanetsu Nanika had organized a week in advance for the boat to give the two passage across the ocean and while Nanika had never traveled by sea before she wanted her first experience to be in style and comfort. The boat was a massive hulking beast made from finely textured solid oak wood, its sheer size an understatement of the word huge. The boat looked able to occupy a massive number of people and it was decorated with hand-carved symbols of the Kanetsu Clan across its hull and black sails while the most identifiable symbol being that of Kazangakure's situated on the main sail. On the front of the boat an ornamental carving of a winding dragon the wrapped entire around the boat ''The Ash Empress'' Nanika would say to Silveria as they approached the boat. "Despite its appearance the boats actually a War vessel and has a large number of cannons on board, I've never been aboard before but from what I've heard this boat was built over 60 years ago during the war. Kazangakure used it to defend our shores from those eager to destroy us after which the boat was destroyed during a week long seige. Afterward the Kanetsu clan refurbished the boat and has been using it ever since." Nanika would say as she pointed out the holes in the sides of the boat where cannons would normally protrude from. Upon boarding the ship the two Kunoichi would notice just how lavishly detailed and decorated for comfort the ship really was, a form of travel fit for a King or in this case a Queen and a Princess.

Barely a few days would pass as the Ash Empress would slow it's decent upon the coast of Hyouzangakure, from there the two Kunoichi would have to travel on foot to reach their destination and considering the travel time they had already cut in half Nanika knew they'd arrive at their destination with time to spare. What awaited them in the Frozen Tundra and the Land of Snow?.... their mission.

A LAND OF PURE WHITE
HIDE BEHIND YOUR SHADOW
WHAT YOU'VE DONE IS
UNFORGIVABLE TO US ALL.
Under normal circumstances, Silveria wouldn't have cared for going on a mission as she was mostly a wanderer at heart. This was just a good way for her to keep things under control with Karumo and to keep Mira safe, she'd rather have gotten to sit and meditate in the forest if she had her way. Her attitude seemed to have sparked some ignition of admiration in the younger girl beside her, not that she seemed to mind it. Silveria lowered her right hand and rubbed the girl's head when she asked to be forgiven for her formal greeting under the thoughts that it would have been proper and necessary for their team. "Do not let yourself be downed by thoughts of apologizing, having respect for those higher ranked than you is a necessary trait for ninja in some situations and if it's come this well for you then you'll do fine. I could even say you might replace our own Kage one day, haha." the Sannin would reply to the girl, a small smirk forming on her lips with a chuckle ringing from them at the end of the sentence. Silveria's eyes kept locked onto the girl's, following their motion and knowing well that she was being observed by the girl, most likely trying to be figured out. She paid this action in kind by sizing Nanika up with her gaze and then stopping when the younger of the two nodded their head. Nanika seemed prepared to leave and Silveria had no qualms about making a swift exit, they'd begin their quick movement across the path and into the forest nearby under Silveria's orders. The forest left little chances to be intercepted often.

After their rather successful meeting, which Silveria believed went better than what could have been the result - they were getting near their first destination. Silveria and the younger girl would be arriving at the ports on the coast of Kazangakure, it wouldn't be too hard to make their way through the ports but Silveria would still have to find the time to fill up a small flask she'd buy with some fresh water, figuring she might need it later. This place would be needed in order to get off of the island of Yo No Kuni and make it to the Snow Village. Any other form of travel would either be inconvenient or much too slow. Silveria wasn't too worried with the travel itself, having used such transportation plenty of times through her adventures outside of the borders of Kazangakure. It felt as natural to her as breathing, to always be on the move like this but at least Mira would get to feel it for the first time.

Silveria had left the scouting for their transport for the younger one, taking her time to sit back and relax with her flask of water, having purchase some sake as well while she was at it being that this travel was going to take them a few days regardless. She'd only get up when the girl would spot the boat they'd be traveling with, apparently one of the more better ships from the Kanetsu Clan's arsenal. Silveria was surprised to see the extravagance of the ship itself and had almost tried to imagine the fortune necessary to pay for it but it made her head ache much more than it needed to, perhaps it was the ports atmosphere. The boat was immensely big in it's size and had a nice wood that carved out it's presence in style. It also seemed big enough to carry on a large amount of people and that just begged the question of how many were already on board. One thing was for sure though, Silveria was not going to be resting easy and was more likely to be keeping herself away from everyone else except for Mira. ''The Ash Empress'' Nanika would tell Silveria as they approached the boat. Nanika would begin to explain a bit more about the ship and it's past but Silveria didn't seem all too interested in it by itself, she did however acknowledge what was told to her with a nod and committed some of it to memory. "Well it's good to see that the ship that will be transporting us has been well taken care of and is big enough to scare off any that'd like to board it and stop us.." Silveria said, watching at the young one showed the cannons, a smile forming on the Sannin's mouth at the idea of anyone trying to board this unwarranted being blown to bits from the cannons, poor sods. When boarding the ship, it appeared garnered with lavishing designs and massive detail, the likes this Sannin had never seen before. "Next time I have to go somewhere in style, remind me to contact you."

A few days passed while they were on board, Silveria having shut herself off in her part of the ship with herself only ever coming out to get her meals. It was hardly a wonder why people called her The Shadow's Embrace, she was so hard to keep track of. Regardless, they'd come upon the coast of Hyozangakure and docked, leaving the two to get off and from there travel by foot. "Let's go, we've little time to sit here and relax, keep up." She'd tell the other girl before sprinting off in the cold, wearing one of the winter cloaks addressed to them for the mission.
