Meeting a Dragon [Invite - Roku, Uchiha Kasai, Juntidinokk - No Death]

Post by Roku on Mon Nov 23, 2015 8:25 pm

His jet black jacket cut a dark hole in the otherwise bright, beautiful sky. He stood looking up into the heavens, his dark hair fluttering, soft locks whipping the breeze. The grass beneath his black sandals found itself crushed and forced outward at awkward angles. Roku was in the center of a relatively well-groomed field. It was one of the outermost islands of Sukaigakure, one that very few people ever visited. He actually made the mental note to purchase this island after he dealt with the mission that brought him here. It was quite large, at least a kilometer in diameter, and may cost a large bit of money, but it’d be worth it with Kassie around now.

He was here on a relatively dangerous mission however; an A-Ranked one. And he was going to take Kassie, his newly adopted daughter, still in the academy, along with him. She’d been begging him lately to allow her to accompany him on a mission, and Roku thought it’d be good for her to see exactly what she was signing up for at the academy and what types of adventures would away her in her future. He was almost more excited than her about this, ready to gauge her reaction. Perhaps this was his inexperience as a parent already beginning to show, or even his overconfidence as a Shinobi. She was to be meeting him any time now, flying in on a bird or something.

His mission today was to find the source of dragon sightings in this area. They’d been largely ignored for quite awhile, due to how few people visited the area he was in, but a few days ago, there was another sighting. Today was one of the man’s few off-days, explaining his lack of an ANBU loadout, but he couldn’t resist the curiosity of what may accompany dragon sightings. Besides, he needed some time to get to know Kassie because they hadn’t spent a whole lot of time together yet, even though Roku planned to personally oversee her Ninjutsu training. Though he hadn’t discussed this with her yet. The “dragon” had been sighted near here, so, though it was unlikely, Roku may even encounter it before Kassie arrives.

It was a nice day out today, the sun wasn't too warm though. Well, it was, it was just really cold when you're flying in the sky on the back of a massive bird. She heard the birds chirping, which at first surprised her, due to the speeds she and the bird were moving at. Then she realized the chirping was closer to a screech, as the large creature spotted their destination. She mentally noted to not mess with something this big and scary until she could take it on. And even then don't, because it's really big, but she would never admit it.

Either way, a large smile spread across her face as the massive beast landed. Kasai jumped off, and gave a quick look around as the large beast took off, kicking up a bunch of sand. Kasai was blown away a bit, but not far. Enough to stain her school skirt, anyways. Speaking of which, she was lucky there was no school today... In any case, she continued to look, until... "Dad!" She yelled as she spotted her adopted father. She smiled as she ran over to him at top speed, running half like what she was taught to, and half with her arms extended for a hug.

When she arrived, she jumped at him, arms extended for a hug. She grinned as she wrapped her arms around his waist, squeezing as hard as she could(which wasn't very hard). "Hey Dad! What kind of mission are we on? Is it dangerous! Are we looking for someone? Recon? Tellmetellmetellmetellmetellmetellmeeeeeeeeeee!" She squealed out, letting go. She shifted from foot to foot, excited about this mission. Her friends would be so jealous! It's only natural, after all. This was something cool, and of course only people as amazing as her father and his Uchiha daughter could do it!

Prologue: Meeting a Dragon

362/362

Flying high over the moderately sized island was enjoyable. There was fresh air, no people, and the gentle crashing of waves. It had been a long time since this beast had appeared from the land it called home. But it was happy to see this land once more. It had changed marginally since it was last here. The islands had moved great distances, and things just seemed different. But it felt invigorating to feel the air of another land. It was then, with the large eye that it spotted a bird? It was unusual for animals, let alone people to venture this far from the village. The islands were, for some people, dangerous. It was a slow flapping action that would send giant gusts of wind behind the behemoth of a beast. It would circle the island once, watching, viewing the two. It noticed the small one get pushed backwards by the takeoff of the bird. Interesting.

It's body would shift round once more before flying directly over head. As it came to the opposite side of the island, it would inch closer until it was just out of range of the two. It's wings would flap fast as it landed upon the firm ground with a large thud. So much, in fact, that it caused the island to not only shake, but drop just slightly in height. The beast was now completely visible in all of it's glory. It spanned over two hundred feet in length. It's size was monstrous. So much, in fact, that a single human would come only up to the center of it's eye. The beast would walk forward crashing it's feet upon the ground in loud crashes. Once it reached the correct distance, it's head would rear to the side showing it's gigantic purple eye to the two as it spoke.

"Fos dreh hi laan jul do lok. "

The beast would watch as the two would most likely not know what it had said. It's giant, booming, commanding voice would shift to a more lighter commanding voice as it retorted in a different language now.
"Why are you here, jul do lok, man of the sky."

When Kassie arrived and began her sprint toward him, Roku smiled a smile afforded to no one else. It was strange to hear himself called “dad.” He hadn’t been around for Kassie’s adolescence, as he had recently adopted her, so being called “dad” was a rather new concept to him. Still, he took it as a good sign that she had adapted and adjusted to it so quickly. He welcomed the girl into an embrace, smiling wide and speaking to her in a forced serious tone as he held her face in his hands to maintain her attention. “Okay, Kassie, look. I need you to remain very serious throughout all of this, okay? Missions of this level get even highly experienced Shinobi like myself killed. But… we’re looking for a dragon.”

He knew she probably wouldn’t keep completely serious, but hoped that she would if they encountered the dragon he was searching for. He began to activate his Kekkei Genkai and grow a pair of wings to fly off into the sky, but he noticed a very massive beast far off in the distance. He could see the creature from far away, and he was taken aback by its magnitude. He stood and attempted to wrap his left arm around Kassie, pulling her close to him protectively. He spoke, but this time his tone was deadly serious. “Kassie, I need you to be serious. Don’t do anything rash.”

He observed the creature as it seemed to do the same with he and his daughter. As it landed upon the ground, Roku had to brace himself as the ground itself dropped a few feet. The thing was absolutely massive. It dwarfed Roku himself by hundreds of times. His grip around Kassie, should he have her in it, tightened. But the beast – the dragon – spoke, and Roku listened, quite surprised that the beast seemed… well, relatively friendly. And that it could communicate rather intelligently Maybe not by normal standards, but Roku expected to have to pry himself from the beast’s jaws.

The first sentence the beast spoke as in another language, and Roku’s brow furrowed, about to ask the beast if it spoke English, when its tone changed and it did, indeed, speak his tongue. Roku responded in obvious fascination. “Well, I’m from the village. I’m here to uh… find you, actually. My name is Roku Enzoka. This is my daughter, Kasai Uchiha.” He attempted to repeat the foreign words the beast spoke, mostly getting it right, to his surprise. “Jul do lok…? I’ve never heard of such a language.”

Kasai's smile was wide up until Dad got serious. When he began to talk serious, she could feel his hands on her face as he held her attention. He really didn't need to do that, but she guessed she was just to excited to be on a mission with him. She was calmed and serious very quickly after that. That is, however, until he mentioned their goal. "A-a-ah DRAGON!! OH MY GOSH, THIS IS AMAZING!" She yelled in excitement as she ran in a circle for a minute, imagining what it would look like. She paused for a moment, before saying "Sorry Dad, I couldn't help myself. It's just... DRAGON! I can't wait to tell everyone at school! They'll be SO jealous!"

Kasai continued to smile, and gawked in awe at the wings. She always wondered how he was able to do all these super cool things. She wondered if he would be able to teach her one day... Regardless, she watched as he was about to take flight, and tilted her head when he didn't. She looked to wear he was looking, and rubbed her eyes a little. She looked again, and could see a spot in the sky, her eyes not good enough(even with glasses) to see it yet.

He began to wrap an arm around her, and that's when she began to become nervous. She latched onto his waist, and began to hug him tightly, hiding behind him ever so slightly. It was when his tone got really serious, is when she began to shake in fear. She suddenly felt scarred, the terror at such a creature would actually be here soon. It was a crazy thought to her, and one she did NOT like at all.

But, it was to late. When the titan of a beast landed, Kasai's life flashed before her eyes. She imagined watching in terror as her adopted father was ripped to literal shreds by this creature, followed by her. It was a bloody sight, the only thing preventing a scream, was her voice that was caught in her throat. Her ears were ringing, and her pulse was moving at a million miles an hour.

She looked up to her dad, eye's scarlet red with a single, black tomoe as she said "D...Daddy? I...I'm s-scared..." She glanced back at the Dragon, on the verge of breaking down externally. She didn't understand a thing it said, and if Dad spoke, she didn't here it. For right now, all she could feel was terror, and the only thing she could see was the Dragons sharp gaze on the pair.

Prologue: Impressions(Meeting a Dragon)

406/768

The beast would murmur as it watched the man's movements. It would shift slightly to see the girl hiding behind her father. The beast stared intently at the man, gazing at his all. The whole of the beast was demonic like that of a lord from hell itself. There was nothing to stop this beast from simply tearing asunder those that stood before it. But it did not. Instead, it listened to the man's words and eyed the girl's movements. It would then speak aloud in the commanding voice that shook the very heavens with it's words.

"It is Dovahzul. Dragon Tongue. You attempt to speak it, yet you do not have the suleyk, Power, to truly command it."

The dragon would say as it lowered it's head all the way to the ground, allowing it to be as level as possible to see the girl as it spoke once more in a slightly muffled voice because of the ground's proximity to it's chin.

"Do not be afraid kiir do jul, child of man, you have nothing to fear from the likes of Dovah, Dragon Kind."

It said as it stared at both the humans. It would continue to analyze the being's before it's eye. The very ability to speak the language neigh perfectly the first try was a feat that rare held. This man, perhaps able to do the one thing many have been able to do in neigh eternity, was to hold the power to command the Dragons as told in lore.

"It is said that one day, Dovah would reach a  yun himdah, new home, where jul would have the ability to command Dovahzul, Dragon tongue to the might of a Thu'um, A shout. It is what you Jul call, Ninjutsu."

It's voice boomed. It would raise it's head into the air and off towards the water far away from where they were. The beast would lower it's body and plant it's toes and fingers into the dirt as it's mouth opened wide, showing those demonic sharp razer teeth. It was then that their voice boomed through the sky causing the very island to shake in it's wake.

"KUYIZAAT NELOM LOM!"

After the words left it's vocal cords a large blast of water shot forth from it's mouth. This was sent careening upwards towards the sky and back down into the clouds below. To a Ninja, it would be called a Water bullet.

Post by Roku on Tue Nov 24, 2015 3:07 pm

The elite Shinobi stood in obvious fascination, staring disbelievingly at the massive being that was just meters away. He observed every visible inch of the dangerous and magnificent creature, taking in each scale, the curvature of the tail, the frighteningly fierce eyes. This was something far greater than a wild animal. In fact, Roku attempted to refrain from thinking of the dragon was a beast at all. By its profound intelligence, it was obvious that the dragon was greater than a beast, despite its appearance. He’d come across massive beings which took the form of animals before in his studies, mentally remarking the Toads of Mount Myoboku and the Snakes of Ryuchi Cave.

When Kassie began to tremble, Roku looked down at her. His expression was not one of worry, danger, fear, or any other emotion that this situation could logically produce. In fact, it was an expression of complete fascination and wonder. He spoke to her in an experienced tone, finding this to be a teaching opportunity as he often did. “Good, Kassie. It’s good to be scared on a mission. It’s not always good to show it, because then it can obscure your judgment and performance, but if you don’t have fear, you don’t have caution. And without caution, you will suffer casualties.” It was a lesson Roku tried to instill into as many young Shinobi as he had the chance to do so with. It was one of the most important lessons a Shinobi could learn, and he hated that it wasn’t taught at the academy.

He smiled, noticing the girl’s Sharingan. The Kekkei Genkai of the Uchiha Clan. It was perhaps a twisted smile since it meant she was in mental turmoil at the moment, and he recognized that, but he loved seeing her begin to mature. And awakening one’s Sharingan, in the Uchiha Clan, was one of the signs of maturity, the other being one’s master over Katon: Great Fireball Technique. He made a mental note to find someone to teach the technique to her soon. It would take some practice in building her chakra levels, as he was sure she was already beginning to tire from holding the Sharingan, but it was a necessary step in her maturity as a Shinobi.

His attention returned to the dragon when it spoke, though it was never completely torn away from the being in the first place, as extraordinary an event as this was. When the dragon spoke, Roku’s insides quaked, its voice booming even though it did not seem to strain much at all to speak so loudly. Probably a product of its size. But it mentioned that Roku had not the power to command the… Dovahzul? He wondered briefly whether the being meant physical or psychological power, though the subject quickly moved as the dragon also addressed Kassie’s fear.

He took note of how relatively gentle the massive creature was, and note of the meaning of the word Dovah. He responded with curiosity, almost all fear replaced by complete and utter fascination. “Dovah means Dragon Kind? So there are more… er… Dovah? Do you have a community?” He was amazed by the sophistication of the… Dovah. The Dovah had their own language, and this one particularly could also speak English. He listened to the tale of the man who would command the… “Thu’um,” but before he could wrap his head around it meaningfully, the Dovah’s voice erupted across the heavens. Roku’s hands instinctively moved to Kassie’s ears, her being more fragile than Roku. The power of the voice – of the thu’um – was enough to probably cause her eardrums to burst, so he hoped that his hands had provided the needed protection. From the Dovah’s mouth erupted something that resembled an enormous Suiton: Water Bullet Technique, but Roku couldn’t trace its path because he knelt down, still listening to the Dovah, to inspect Kassie’s ears, worried that damage may have been done.

“You okay sweetheart?” He still marveled at the Sharingan present in her eyes, adding on the statement “It’s weird seeing your eyes that color.” Roku was unsure if she was even aware that her Sharingan was active, though at this point she may have noticed the chakra she could see inside people. He wondered briefly what it’d look like to see the chakra inside the Dovah… how immense it’d be.

Re: Meeting a Dragon [Invite - Roku, Uchiha Kasai, Juntidinokk - No Death]

Post by Kasai on Wed Nov 25, 2015 9:25 pm

Kasai watched as the Dragon lowered it's head, her still being almost a spec comparatively still. She looked at the Dragon in the eyes, her scarlet eyes still blazing as the spinning Tomoe spun. She could barely hear the dragon over the ringing of her ears, but she heard it none the less. She still didn't trust the Dragon though, it being all big, teeth-y and scale-y. The definition of pure terror, if she thought so.

Regardless, he had a hard time hearing her father speak, mainly due to her ears, and the Dragons booming voice being loud enough to be heard over it. However, she found it much easier to read his lips now, and was barely able to understand what he said about fear. She had no idea why that was a good thing, even if it helped keep you cautious, but she would remember those words. She remained hidden behind her father, eye's clenched tight for a moment before opening them again, eye's still blazing red.

She began to loosen up a bit after she watched the massive Water Dragon Bullet. The roar had terrified her, and so had the sheer size of it, but after it dispersed harmlessly in a firework like display, she began to relax a bit, though she began to feel more exhausted, which confused her greatly. She hadn't fought at all yet!

Right as the ringing in her ears went away, she began to here her father speak. She looked at him, and nodded slightly, and said in an almost whisper "I... I'm ok Daddy..." Then the next thing he said hit her like a tone of bricks "W...wait, they're a different color? D...Don't tell me!" She began to slowly smile, as it hit her. Her Sharingan was activated! In all it's super-seeing glory, it was here! Now she would be strong! She could almost be considered a prodigy now! It was at this time that her ringing ears began to calm more, and her fear subsided much more, though it was still there.

Prologue: Impressions(Meeting a Dragon)

The dragon would raise it's head as it looked to the sky. Slowly, the head would lower once more as it would begin to speak. The booming of the voice seemed to happen with out the dragon's mouth moving like a human's mouth would. It was perhaps an odd sight for the humans, but to the dragon, it was yet another day of just simple discussion.

"Dovah, Dragon, is what we call ourselves. We are many in a world which exists paralel to this one. It occupies the same, Tiid, Time, but not the same, Ginun, Space, as yours does. Our, hofkiin, home, is not unlike most of yours. Those that are selected as a, Sonaak, Priest, are taught the language of the mun, Man. Not all can speak it. However, all Dovah speak Dovahzul, Dragon Tongue."

The giant dragon said as it moved one of it's feet slightly causing the wohle island to rumble and shift. The dragon would see that the child was feeling a bit less scared. However, the dragon could still feel the fear suade off of her as if it was an ocean. The giant beast would step backwards a moment before flapping it's wings upwards, it's face pointed upwards just slightly. It's voice would boom once more but yet, in a somewhat quieter voice.

"VULD KOPRAAN BULD!"

A bright white light engulfed the dragon's whole being causing it to suddenly disappear in the light. As the light died down, it could be seen that a much smaller thing was now present. The dragon had, in a sense, lowered it's power to that of smaller dragon. It was now a long slender chineese looking dragon. The dragon was now about 91 centimeters long. It was much like a plushie of sorts. However, it still held that commanding voice that it could use that could shake the very heavens upon use. However, it's normal voice was much less strong.

"Juntiiddinok. This is my, faan, call, or rather name. It is what Dovah use to address each other. Every Dovah is given three parts. Each name of a Dovah is actually a Thu'um, of which can be shouted by other Dovah to call them."

The small dragon would raise it's head up, long golden hair flowing as it's mouth opened up. It would stare towards the sky with it's purple eyes with an intent that spread like that of wildfire through it's body. The four small legs resting upon the ground clamped down as it's voice shook the ground through shear vibration.

"Drogmuldilon"

It's voice would echo through the sky. The few moments after which was oddly calm. Nothing was happening. Even the gentle breeze that blew the dragon's hair about slightly ceased to stop. It was then a low rumble echoed through the area. High above the island, just below the hovering clouds a small ripple could be seen like that of water. It was then, the soft roar could be heard. As the roar grew louder and louder so would a feint rumbling sound. Then, with out warning, a dragon which rivaled the size of the small one previously burst forth creating a shattering effect. This caused the very sky to tear apart with an almost earth shattering book whch caused the very island they stood upon to begin to crack. As it happened, the crack would slowly begin to reform but was suddenly stopped by the booming voice of the dragon which would fly back in after shouting.

"GINUNTIIDLUWEY!

The small dragon, which was now a fair bit smaller than Kasai would stand there looking to the two. It would slowly float upwards, it's body behind it swaying like that of a snake almost.

Roku stood, smiling at Kassie’s reaction to the realization of her awakened Sharingan and ruffled her hair, placing his eyes back on the Dovah. “That’s my girl.” The thought struck him again that it was quite puzzling as to why he was proud of her for being place in psychological turmoil, but the fact remained that he was. He stood once more, placing his feet at about shoulder width apart and, finally willing to let go of Kassie, crossed his arms across his chest. He assumed this position fairly often while thinking as a sort of quirky habit.

And think he did. He thought privately about what the place that the Dovah lived in would be like. He imagined high reaching mountains as far as the eye could see that would allow the Dovah to fly from place to place in a relatively open air. He wondered if it was anything like Mount Myoboku. Mount Myoboku was a place of legend, only heard of in books and fables of great ninja that could summon toads to aid them in battle. At that point, the Dragon changed itself into a much smaller and differently shaped being, becoming something totally different than what it was before.

He continued listening to the Dovah speak and recognized her introducing herself as Juntiiddinok. He spoke, now more relaxed than he was before, but nonetheless transfixed. “It is nice to meet you… Jun… Juntiiddinok.” Roku slightly stumbled over the name. And when the Dragon performed another… er… Thu’um, he stood in awe, staring up at the heavens as a rift opened in the sky and another Dovah emerged, though he quickly returned. This forced a question out of Roku’s mouth before he had time to think about it. “Is it possible for a human to summon forth other Dovah in that manner? And do Dovah make… er… alliances with people? Like the Toads of Mount Myoboku or the Snakes of Ryuchi Cave? Is it possible for a human to learn the ways of the Dovah?”

Roku wondered briefly if the Dragon would know of the examples he gave. He stood, impressed, staring at Juntiiddinok, awaiting anxiously for the answer, for his next question would be to ask if it was possible for him to summon dragons, or even to visit their world. He had discovered an entirely new world to him, and his curiosity was beginning to take hold over his judgment.

Kasai listened as the Dragon spoke, now much more comfortable with its presence, confidant that it wouldn't hurt her. Especially now that she had her Sharingan. Kasai deactivated it though, as it was beginning to take its tole, her body swaying from the effort it takes to stand. 'Didn't realize how much Chakra it's taking to just stand... damn' She thought to herself, as she leaned into her father who was in his thinking stance. She smiled weakly as Father congratulated her, but she was unable to speak, being so tired

Kasai mentally noted all the translated things that the Dragon had said, though she would probably forget come the next day, seeing as how she was having a hard time staying awake. Damn Chakra Exhaustion. In any case, she fell asleep for a brief moment on her father. She woke up when the Dragon, who's name she barely missed, opened up a rift in the sky. She was jolted awake, and screamed at the top of her lungs, though more in shock than in actual fear.

She fell down on her butt, but when she looked up, she saw two Dragons. One was obviously the one from earlier, only down sized, but the other was defiantly new. She gave the tiny Dragon a small wave, before moving her way back to her Dad. She attempted to climb onto his back, though not sure if he would let her right now.

Prologue: Impressions(Meeting a Dragon)

272/1,660

The dragon would scurry around a little as it listened. Listened, watched, watched, and listened. It's eyes would stay focused on the man in this situation. It seemed he wished to know more about the Dovah. This was interesting and quite enjoyable to the dragon. Such an elderly being she was. It was then that she began to speak after having the questions thrust upon her.

"Dovahkiin, Dragon Born, This is the name given to those able to wield the Thu'um, or shout, as we do. Ninja are able to use the, rot do suleyk, Words of Power, by using their, haal, hands. Dovah use the essence of their voice. It is told in the ancient tomes, that one day a single jul, man, will learn and spread the power of Dovah across all lands....The zinaal grol, Honorable Toads, fax prakem, Sly Snakes. We know of them, but refuse to, vothdreh, interact, with them.We are not unlike them, by your standards."

The dragon had said before slowly walking towards Kasai. She'd stand there for a moment, staring, before suddenly her movements would speed forth and crawl atop the girl and rest upon her right shoulder. Of course that wouldn't work out well, so she'd leap to the man, Roku, climbing up to his right shoulder and resting her chest upon the man as her tail would wrap around his midsection ending at his waist like a belt. After which, the dragon would remain there, staring out from the view of a human.

"It would be, ofanjiik, entertaining, if not anything else to watch you learn Dovahzuul and master the Thu'um."

The ANBU smiled as his daughter fell asleep beside him, her face becoming somewhat peaceful. It was a sight that he, as a parent, had yet to experience. He hadn’t seen her first steps, heard her first words, dropped her off at her first day of school, thrown her her first birthday party, or even been there through her most difficult times, the loss of her real parents. He wondered briefly how he… “stacked up” to her biological family. Was he more caring? Worse? Did she care? Did it matter? The questions found themselves glowing in his mind on some occasions, and he never knew how to answer them.

As Juntiiddinok climbed up on Kassie, Roku tensed, immediately ready for a defensive action, but he relaxed once the now much smaller dragon climbed upon him, thinking of her words. "It would be, ofanjiik, entertaining, if not anything else to watch you learn Dovahzuul and master the Thu'um." He took these words to mean that Juntiiddinok was, in fact, open to allowing Roku to learn more about the Dovah… to perhaps learn to summon them. A broad smile stretched across his face as he asked, “Okay, so when do we get started?”

A new idea or concept could always fascinate Roku, always hold his attention. If he didn’t know something and knew he didn’t know it, it wasn’t long before that situation was rectified. And this was an entire world of new ideas and concepts at his fingertips, ready to be explored, ready to be discovered. Just… waiting for the inquisitive soul to happen upon them. Roku would find these things, and he would learn everything there was to know about them. He would become one with the Dovah. He would understand them, even function as a member of whatever sort of society they had.

He would be Dragonborn.

Re: Meeting a Dragon [Invite - Roku, Uchiha Kasai, Juntidinokk - No Death]

After a moment of no help from her father, Kasai huffed, and hopped back down, before moving back to his side. She listened to the Dragon speak, this time with a bit more effort, and was almost enchanted by it's voice, and the language it spoke as it translated them. She tried a word on her tongue a couple times, repeating Dovahkin under her breath a few times, each time the word not feeling right on her tongue. She didn't know why though.

Regardless, she paled as she saw the now smaller dragon rush for her, but never the less giggled as it did. Kasai had really warmed up to the Dragon, but wasn't sure if she was ready to be near it's full size again. Then the Dragon climbed onto her father, and she giggled once more as it climbed off. When her father was offered to learn more about them, Kasai gaped a bunch, and said "That's cool!" She smiled once more, thinking of how cool it would be to see her already amazing, if not perfect, father riding a DRAGON!

Juuntiiddinok
quarry of
the Dovah

Prologue: Impressions(Meeting a Dragon)

Jun would rest it's head upon Roku's shoulder. It would stare forward as it listened to Roku speak. It seemed he wanted to start right away. Well then, right away it was! Jun would raise it's head towards the sky as her voice boomed with a word.

"Maatdojul!"

Her voice echoed through the heavens. It caused the crack to form as a somewhat medium sized western dragon appeared before them. It would land upon the ground and lower it's head speaking in Dovahzul.

"Zu'u los ahst hin ahmik dii jud.

Jun would stare for a moment before speaking softly in response to the dragon's words. Her words were commanding, echoing in the very fabric of space and time as if she was full sized. It was as if she was commanding a servant to do her bidding.

"Begin the, dwiisinda, Inscription, for this jul."

The dragon would look upwards to Jun, staring as if asking if she was serious. The dragon simply stared at her eyes before she barked backward once more.

"NU!"

The dragon would shuffle backwards a moment before stammering to get everything ready. He was an odd looking fellow to most dragons. The, perhaps nerd, of the dragons as it were. And so he would do his things to induct the man and child, if possible, into the contract. Once finished, Jun would stay tethered to Roku, acting as an ornament rather than anything else.

Roku smiled broadly at the giggling and exclamation of her excitement about Roku learning about the Dovah coming from Kassie. He loved that she sometimes seemed just as fascinated as he was to learn new things. For him, it was simply seeing, learning, hearing, or otherwise experiencing anything he had never experienced before that drove him. He wasn’t sure what drove Kassie, and made a mental note to somehow figure that out. It would be important for him to know what motivated her, as he hoped to begin her training soon. Her combat style didn’t match perfectly with his, but he had some great things to show her regardless.

His became goofy when he noticed Kassie trying to climb on his back, previously completely oblivious to her actions, perhaps because he was transfixed by the idea of learning more about the Dovah, exploring their world even. He ruffled her hair in a playful apology and decided that when they left the island he’d scoop her up by surprise and take her flying with his flight technique, possibly even dangle her upside down just to absolutely terrify her. Or maybe she’d love it. He remarked again on just how little he knew his little girl and that he needed to spend more time with her.

When Juntiiddinok said the name “Maatdojul,” Roku immediately imprinted it on his memory. He couldn’t allow himself to forget it, because he recognized what was happening and that his was the name of another Dovah, and that he may need to summon it one day, should the Dovah decide to instill in him the ability to do so. He recognized “Jul” in the name, wondering why a Dovah had the word “man” in its name, but decided not to question it as he knew almost nothing of their culture yet.

Another rift opened in the sky and another dragon similar in form to the form that Juntiidinok toon now descended from the heavens. Juntiiddinok had a short conversation with this western-style dragon and the dragon presented a scroll, which, when opened, Roku recognized immediately as a summoning contract, though it had no names written in blood on it, which intrigued him and instilled within him a sense of pride at the same time, since no other human had been given the ability to summon Dovah. Roku bit his middle finger, drawing blood, and inscribed on the scroll “Roku Enzoka” in his own blood. He looked at Kassie for a moment, deciding whether to see if she would like to try this too and even if the Dovah would let her, but decided fairly quickly that she needed work on her Chakra and thus that perhaps Roku should wait in helping her learn this particular skill.

After the process was over, Maatdojul spoke some words to Roku in the Dovahzul that he did not understand and receded back into the rift. Roku stood motionless for a moment, then, in an attempt to ambush her, he bent over and attempted to scoop Kassie up, holding her in front of him, and took off at a full sprint, Juntiiddinok still wrapped around his body. He dove off the floating island, and, knowing quite a lot about physics, released Kassie and allowed her to fall on her own, noting that they’d fall at the same speeds, as did everything unless the air resistance was different, but he knew he could adjust his air resistance if at all needed. He simply screamed “Whoooooooooooooooooooo!!!”

At about 100 yards from the ground, Roku once more would activate his Tansosousa: Flight technique and sprout wings, and would grab at Kassie, curving back upward to pull out of the dive while needing to pump extra chakra into his technique to keep the trio in the air. He would then make his way back to the village, Kassie in hand had he managed to scoop her up, and head back home to enjoy the rest of his day off before he began his missions and training again, though his training would now begin to consist of things to learn about the Dovah as well. He smiled as he thought about just how blessed he was to have everything in his life moving so well.

Right as her father signed the scroll himself, Kasai went to bite her finger. No way was she missing out on THIS! If she could summon a Dragon, even a small one, she would easily be the best in the class. 'A Dragon plus a Sharingan... I'd be unbeatable!' she thought to herself. However, all her dreams were crushed when the scroll left before she could sign it. She frowned, and looked to her father with a similarly disappointed look.

However, the moment she looked at him, she was picked up. She giggled, even yelling "Wheeeeee~" as they ran, having a blast. The moment they dove off the ledge however, the joy took a 180 turn, and she began to scream he head off. Her screaming continued, even as her father grabbed her. When she realized she wasn't falling anymore, she activated her Sharingan and glared menacingly at him. She simply said "You're an asshole." She had no idea if her father would be upset, but dammit she was angry! How could he do something like that to her!
