Truly, it seemed that an incredible amount of things had happened in a short amount of time. To be quite honest, Garnet was having a bit of trouble keeping track of all of them, what with his current situation inside of his head. Nevertheless, let us begin once more before the world starts spinning again.
It seemed that within the short time, a lot of people had stumbled upon what had previously been a rather well hidden spot through some twist of fate. Then again, he supposed that after a while one could simply follow all of the other tracks and wonder what the heck was happening.
It was times like these that Garnet was glad that he actually bothered to do administration duties. He could make up for the lack of interaction he got on bassi from learning about them through reports, and often that said quite enough. That, and it made recognizing what sometimes might seemed to be an average face to be something quite more. Of the new arrivals, he couldn’t see anyone who was below the rank of jounin. He supposed that made sense, considering that really genin shouldn’t be out and about beyond the walls unless they were on vacation or on a mission, otherwise they were wide open to attack. The fields were a cold, unforgiving place after all.
Let’s try and name the faces here. That one was Hideki of the Yuki, over there Shutara of the Uchiha clan, and was that Samaku? Oh wow, he hadn’t seen that dude in a while. Since he had taken office really, seemed that their paths hadn’t really crossed lately. Ah well, that was life. He supposed he would address them all in order of their arrival, considering that at the moment Sameonna and Gonshiro were silent meanwhile he really had no response for Satsuki as they hadn’t said anything to each other directly. He supposed that was courteous. Was it?

As Hideki got down on his knee, Garnet would groan internally. While semantics might be fun once and a while, he would never quite get over the whole kneeling thing. Just because a dude was stronger than you didn’t mean you had to grovel before them and lick their heels because they were some sort of god blessed person. Granted, Hideki was doing none of the sorts and just following standard procedures, but still. He would gently take the scroll from his hand, opening it quickly and skimming the contents. “The melting point and ductility of Terrasilver when mixed with other impurities...useful information indeed.” His eyes would dart back at Hideki. “You know, you don’t need to stay there Mr. Yuki. Feel free to stand up and join the party.”
Next on the list, Shutaru. He had business? Really? He hadn’t received any reports, but ah well. Supposedly he had been sent on some sort of tournament, but he had been preoccupied in the securing of a trade deal over the past week so it hadn’t really piqued his attention. Sure, they were good for morale, but after that there wasn’t much to it. Although he had to admit his little comment was slightly funny. Did he seriously urinate on precious marine life? “Mr. Retsu.” He would begin towards him. “Personally I would recommend against incurring the ire of Ms.Hoshigaki, no offense but she could probably drown you and your entire family if she seriously felt like it. That aside...” He would pause for a moment before returning again with a small smile. “You have business with me, you say? Of what sort?” Short, to the point. Ah well, couldn’t make a speech out of everything.
Finally, there was Samaku. He seemed to be in rather odd attire at the moment, although he wasn’t going to get on his case about it. Perhaps it was for some sort of training? Even so, he ought to be careful. Frostnip was always a pain in the butt, stung like you wouldn’t believe. To him he would give a friendly nod, from this point ready to watch the situation unfold before him. What would come of this expanded encounter?
