My Brother's Keeper

Post by Kaigen Uzumaki on Mon Feb 08, 2016 1:33 am

Kaigen Shikyo had been taking a break from missions for a few days now. He felt his mental was too focused on being focused and that in itself was very tiring. He didn't desire to be stressed. Today, he lusted for something quiet and smooth. A day where he didn't feel much like a ninja, but just as some guy who needed to clear his head. He had ordinary jounin attire on for the day, and for the record, everyone knew he wasn't a jounin - but it was nice to wear and it really brought other ninja to want to dress like him. Moving on, Kaigen was alone.

He was alone in more than one ways. Despite being in a village filled with new experiences, people, and style he still felt very alone. He was minding his own lane all by his lonesome and wasn't expecting any kind of company. He didn't ponder on the possible weather forcast, so when he saw the dark clouds threatening the world with it's presence, he still chose to stay dormant and isolated. Perhaps rain would make him feel a bit less alone? who knew. He wasn't by himself to cry or pout, but to come to a mental realization. So there he stood, on a small island, with the possibility of rain and thunder, by himself. There were just enough trees to hinder vision. He stood leaned against a wall in the most casual way, with the signature arms fold, just thinking about the usual things he never have the time to think about. Things that he occupies himself not to think of. The Jokigakure headband being on his forehead strapped tightly around his forehead. It gave him some sense of pride, but it didn't really give much of anything else. He wasn't talking to himself. Just thinking.

In the everlasting turbulence of the ninja world, one may often come across sights which scientists would gawk at, proclaiming them to be impossible. These events were not too uncommon, though they did seem to center around certain people, who had a knack for surviving long enough to learn how to survive even the most ridiculous scenarios. One of these individuals in question was the legendary Kurokon Shikyo, mostly known as Psychosis due to his shenanigans which generally took people by such surprise it changed their very beings. Indeed, he was the center of chaos many times before. Thus is was no surprise to him when his desire to swim led to him being chased by a sea-serpent made of fire. Physics aside, the serpent swam as fast as Kuro, so he decided to merely tame it and ride it to the nearest island, given he was lost.

Apparently it worked, as Kuro landed near where Kaigen was, though far enough away to not notice him quite yet. Looking back at the serpent, which still thirsted for his blood, Kuro made his decision and punched the fire serpent, causing it to explode then dissipate long before the explosion or fire harmed anything, even his clothes. "Well, time to figure out where I am." It was a testament to just how strange his life was that he did not bother to question where the fire-serpent-of-the-sea came from, let alone how it was possible to ride it without being burned. Perhaps he was just really really high. It would not be the first time.

The heat in the air picked up quickly but he did not move. Today, he wasn't being anyone's hero. So he remained in his position. It was safe to assume it was just a possible training glitch. Some ninjas liked training just outside of their village, giving them a sense, that they were right outside it's walls to protect it. A noble feature. The Sannin of Joki took no time in closing his eyes before bringing the world a sigh. He didn't care to investigate it at first. Day off, remember? However, being a sannin came with a few responsibilities that he actually somewhat decides to keep once in a while. Despite not being on the clock, he was still a ninja.

So he did what he knew his goodies two shoes of some comrades would do. The audio threat that was picked up had a strong signal from behind Kaigen. He couldn't hear troops and/or squads of ninjas from afar. Only silence followed. Note: The day was still very vibrate with very small changes of wind frequency. Each step he made towards the bushes leading to the questionable destination was quick and almost rushed. He wanted to get it over with.

The boots barely even giving Kaigen any kind of feeling of the ground they kept him steady and strong. The facial expression used for the current event could be described as nick picked. Like he'd been a little bothered by this frail attempt to get his attention. He felt like the Universe was trying to stop him from having alone time. Alone time from the world. He moved through bushes, light enough to move but heavy enough to hinder his sight; however, when he came to light his vision rested upon clarity. Water? A river? his reflection. He didn't even notice the new guy standing not so far away from him. He didn't notice his brother that he'd lost for years. He was drowning too deep into his reflection.

Kuro was rather used to people ignoring him. It was how they dealt with his antics in Sukaigakure, after all. You did not survive long by interfering with Kuro's fun. It was a rather well known fact, one that caused much commotion in the village prior to his departure. Unlike what most thought, Kuro was neither vindictive nor temperamental. He was quite relaxed, it was just too enjoyable to fuck with people to act as a goodie two shoes. It made him seem violent, deranged, and utterly disturbing. So what, he had a dark sense of humor? He was still a pretty nice guy.

Which is EXACTLY why his first reaction to seeing someone ignoring him, and worse, assuming the form of his deceased brother, was to punch the shit out of them. Indeed, Kuro activated Godslayer's Soul, and surged forth, the rage emanating from his soul nearly palpable. He did not mind being ignored so much, but to steal his brother's body... what a sin this was. He would punch the very chakra off of this man, so any chakra based defense would be rather... amusingly denied. It was not everyday someone punched chakra away, after all. Even turning into an element would not help escape his fist of justice, as the elements simply knew better.

Still, he had to wonder what prompted his thoughts about his brother. Lately he had been thinking about... someone else, but those thoughts were far from happy, and tended to end with him becoming either angry or simply sad. Whatever the reason, this white hot rage was certainly new. Since it was new, he knew not how to counter it quickly enough to stop himself from attacking the man before him, easily closing the distance between them and launching a non-lethal punch to the back of Kaigen's head. If the body had been stolen, it would send the soul right out of the body, effectively killing it. If the body was an illusion, it would literally shatter the illusion, while it would only be a normal punch if there were no chakra effects on the body, or the area he touched. He idly wondered if he could punch a bijuu out of someone in this manner...

In the real world his stupid ass didn't think to really react to the fire stuff. But fast footsteps? Yeah, No - fighting movements. He did a light blink before turning over to the supposedly threat that was moving towards him. It was so much to think about, and yet so little time to do such. Kaigen assumed a frontal attack with a possibility of a trickster fighting style. It was always easy to form that kind of mentality until the real battle is going. He has chosen not to use ninjutsu for a while so he has adapted. Kaigen did one of the only things he knew he was going to have to do. Kaigen had managed to turn around before performing a signature taijutsu technique built to be whatever a user wishes. A palm strike.

He only got maybe four steps closer to his incoming target before his palm launched forward in a clash of fist. The palm was aiming to the fist, in a very do-able attempt to overpower his opponent with his simply super cool strength levels. The guy was kind of strong. So imagine the suprise when both fist did collide and the universe shook a little. Why? They didn't like the idea of the Shikyo brothers back. So this clash despite a physical misunderstanding - is the moment of truth. The equal strength caused a shockwave, and somehow, some fancy fucking way - it caused an explosion pilled with dust. This was to ensure each other strength and to realize they they both could be potential threats. See while this was going on Kaigen did not fault or waiver. When the smoke cleared he would be unharmed but the other guy ....
