Dust Release: Majestic Hunter

Post by The War Ender on Sun Jan 24, 2016 2:02 am

Name ;; Dust Release: Majestic Hunter
Rank ;; S
Type ;; Ninjutsu, Kenjutsu
Element ;; Jinton
Range ;; 20 Meters
Power ;; 5
Speed ;; 5
Cool Down;; 6 Posts
Description ;; The first step in initiating Majestic Hunter is to have the user's sword sheathed. Instead of focusing the user's Jinton chakra into a shape, like a normal Dust Release technique, the user instead focuses it into the scabbard, filling the user's weapon with the energy. After drawing it, it will glow in a similar manner to any regular Dust Release Shape, although it will form no barrier. Once the weapon begins to glow, the technique is only moments away from being triggerable: The next swing that the user performs with their weapon will launch a crescent-shaped glowing object from it. Sharing the same dimensions as the sword used to launch the attack, the object will become encased in an incredibly thin barrier that is not designed to hold anything else, but rather extend the crescent's range of damage by 15% (if the original sword was 4 feet long, 1 inch deep, the crescent will be 4.6 feet long, 1.15 inches deep. Inside of the barrier, the crescent object is always raging and never in the usual solid state. Anything this crescent touches while it flies along it's path will be absolutely vaporized if it does not possess a durability stat 50% higher than the user's chakra stat. This technique requires a 1+1 Post Charge.
Requirements ;; Ninjutsu Spec, Kenjutsu Spec, Jinton, A Sword

Please define the dimensions of this cresent. also, requiring something to be a full 50% higher than the power of this jutsu is a bit much, please tone that done some. As this is not a normal dust release jutsu, it's not going to be as devastating as the much easier to avoid versions are.

What happens to the crescent once it reaches it's maximum range? The jutsu says it will vaporize objects, what will it do to people?

The crescent is the same dimensions as the blade of the sword, already defined.

The 50% is a core rule of Dust Release already approved

The only other Dust Release tech is actually 3 techs, and as such, is one S rank jutsu that's basically 3 B rank. I'm not sure if comparing them is that simple. Also, while Detachment is versatile, Hunter is not. It's meant to be the strongest example of Dust Release Zettai can use.

When an energy wave reaches it's maximum distance, it fizzles out. Should I include that?

People are objects.

The shape is actually not well defined at all.  I never once mentions the size, only that the barrier is incredibly thin.  Please quantify the height, width and depth of the crescent.

Please also increase the cool down on this technique to at least 6 posts, due to it's strength and usefulness.

Ah. No, you're right. I defined it better in my head than on paper. Fixed, as well as the cooldown

You didn't adjust the cool down, but you did adjust the charge time to 6 posts, so that's acceptable.

WHOOPS. Wrong section lol I intended that to be the cooldown. There's no way I'm standing for six posts to do a basic s Rank tech lol
