Seeking a Disciple [Private/NK]

Post by Hikaru Kato on Fri Jan 15, 2016 11:47 pm

Hikaru would walk through the artificially lit streets of Chikagakure with one of her hands rested idly upon her hip where a small pouched was located, containing what little items she had upon her person in the case that she were attacked or otherwise required them while her other hand idly ran along the small Artifact which she wore around her neck, the currently inactive item giving off a faint purple glow although no other tangible effects at this moment while she continued to walk in solitude for the time being, her bluish-grey eyes scanning the area slowly as she turned her attention from one tall building to the next while she attempted to get herself fully acquainted with the Village as she had only entered it a few short days ago and had not yet fully accustomed herself to its sights.

She would continue walking for a short while until she came across a relatively empty street and decided to lean against the wall of a nearby building with a soft sigh, closing her eyes for a few moments in order to relax herself before opening them again and scanning around as she spoke softly to the necklace she wore upon her person: "Which of these people are worth indoctrinating into our Mission, I wonder...?" She would say quietly to herself, looking at the people who walked by for a sign of someone who caught her eye in the hopes that such a person would be willing and worthy of joining her new-found Organization of Disciples who sought to bring the Artifact's Truth upon the world by whatever means that Hikaru deemed necessary, primly by force, however.

She waited, her arms crossed, for one such person to come into sight and to either wander past or interact with her personally as she twirled a single kunai in her free hand while the other remained idly upon her chest where the necklace dangled down to, remaining silent for the time being as she frowned at the passers-by seeming to hold a bit of disdain for those that were not of her Goal or allied with such - something that many of these Missing Ninja and strangers did not seem to be.

Walking, alone, Kaijo wandered through the notorious village of Chikagakure. He didn't know much of this area, he just knew it was a safe haven for those who were seeking shelter but at the same time on the wrong side of the law. He tightened his headband, on the front a blank metal plate, considering he didn't embrace the fact that he was a Shinobi working for the Snow Village, and he can't show off the fact that he had betrayed his village like the standard method of cutting a strike over the symbol of his village. Rather, he left it blank, showing that he was more or less a shinobi who served himself, in a way. A sign of independence, he decided it could symbolize.

Walking alone wasn't the best thing for Kaijo, he didn't like being alone for too long, and he didn't know all that many people, around here or otherwise. His village was destroyed, too, he heard in a rumor. He hadn't confirmed this rumor as of yet but, he had a feeling it was true. For no real reason he felt the need to not even check, that it didn't even matter. He sighed, somewhat depressed at the fact. If he were there, could he even had done anything? Probably not, as he was he wasn't too powerful. It takes some strong fuckers to go and decide to destroy an entire village. He merely walked into the next building he saw, sitting down at one of the tables, waiting. He waited there for about an hour, not really doing anything besides sitting there and thinking, mainly about the Snow, but also about what he could do in the future. His depressing loneliness would have to be dealt with, as he no longer had a home to return to. He would get up, bored and lonely, having no courage to go up and talk to anyone here, as, they would most likely kill the unprepared Kaijo sooner than they would befriend him. He ended up leaving the tavern, only to bump into the first person he saw outside of it. She appeared to be trying to enter, he merely stepped back into the tavern and to the side of the entry way; "Pardon me." He would say, in a slightly flat tone.

Hikaru would blink, her expression appearing a bit surprised as she was bumped into momentarily until her gaze returned to it's previous rather calculating stare as she took a step backwards, calling out in soft reply to the man's words: "You - If I could be blunt . . . " She would begin, looking the man over quickly before giving the faintest trace of a smile upon her lips. "May I ask for your help?" She would then say, concluding her previous statement with a query that she hoped the man would answer affirmatively as her Artifact seemed to be glowing rather incessantly upon being in close proximity to the man - a sign, she took it as - that the man was possibly important to her Mission and that perhaps trying to speak with him would be the best course of action.

She also tried to stop him with her words in part, because he seemed to have a slight gloom about him, or perhaps something beyond the normal expressions of the shinobi within this leaderless village that she found intriguing. Something that she felt connected to, in a sort of way, perhaps sharing a bond or something of the like that could grow if the two were to actually converse with one another. Although this all hinged on whether or not the man would take her up on her offer, something she figured that not many Missing Ninja would purposefully deny due to the fact they nearly all sought the same thing - Ryo.

Whether or not it was to fund themselves or to perhaps provide for those who could not for themselves - Almost all Shinobi sought Ryo at one point or another, and she hoped that with her next words she would make it clear that she was offering the man just that: "I promise that if you do - You will be paid, if it suits you." She would then offer, giving that same faint smile towards the man again as her bluish-grey hues looked to his own eyes with a curious gaze, her hands idly slipping into the pockets of her shorts as her jacket gave a slight rustle in the underground breeze that seemed to help add to the chilling cold of this village, waiting for an answer to her offer that would hopefully involve the man's agreement or at least further questioning and not outright denial of her request.

If he did accept, she may just have the beginning of her organization's roots begin to form and from there would bloom forth - in her mind - the future of the world as they all knew it, piece by piece the Truth would be brought upon it . . . One way or another.

He would move over to the side, just before she began to speak. She was requesting his help. For what, he wondered, though hadn't bothered to ask. At the moment, he merely wanted to have people around him that he could talk to. Immediately, almost, he brightened up. "Ah.. sure then." He said, his tone displayed some minor excitement, showing that he was fairly eager to do just about anything. "What do you need help with?" He finally had asked. There wasn't much it could be, it was probably just some desire for assistance on one of their upcoming missions, which he would continue to help her with. He knew he was getting paid, as the lady had just said that she promised he would be paid. Not many options came to mind when it came to a randomer asking for assistance in an underground village where pretty much all the lawless went. This could have easily been a trap, but why would she bother? He had nothing of use, he barely had any jutsu to his name, let alone weapons. A slightly depressing thought to say the least, physically up their with that of a Chuunin, however having little to no jutsu or techniques which could technically make him on par with that of a Genin, or worse, an academy level shinobi. Of course, he wouldn't outright tell her that. If he did, he would surely ruin it for himself. He merely waited for her response as for what Kaijo would be doing to aide her. It would have to be a mission, he decided. Perhaps killing someone who was heavily guarded, or, acting as a bullet monkey or distraction during an infiltration. Regardless, however, he would have to hope for the best in either situation. Death wasn't an option, clearly, that's why he hadn't killed himself throughout his life, having such a shitty past, only to be depressed whilst being alone wasn't very fun, but he decided that if he could make his career as a Shinobi take off, then life was worth living.

He knew he would have to prepare for the mission somehow, mayhaps buy some paper tag explosion seals, Kunai knives, and the typical weapons that most shinobi used. A sword he would like. He also knew he would have to increase his knowledge arsenal, via acquiring new jutsu for any upcoming battle. As is, he wouldn't stand much of a chance in battle, not being very adept in taijutsu, and having almost nothing in what he chose to specialize in. "How much time do I have to prepare for anything dangerous?" He asked, prior to her answering his question of course. Little to no time had passed in between his statements, the random thought of him needing equipment had just popped into his head as he asked what he would be doing.

Hikaru shook her head softly at the words, finding the idea of needing to prepare a bit null when it came to what she would be asking of the man, her hands moving to the pockets of her shorts as she spoke softly in reply to his questions: "There is no need to worry about needing to prepare yourself - I can feel that you are prepared enough. Life, up until this point, has prepared you for what I am about to ask of you and what will come afterwards if you do agree to it -" She paused, momentarily, during her short speech in order to cast Kaijo an intense stare, as if trying to gaze through his eyes and into his very soul so to speak. Though, she did this more or less to show that what she was about to say would be a deathly serious proposal and that she meant no joke in it:

"I want you to come along with me and join in changing the world, Sir." She would say, before adding in a bit of a less dramatic tone that was more soft and appealing to the heart than her previous harsher, serious voice. "Surely, out there, is something you wish to find - or to change?" She asked, casting him a soft smile as she stepped forward once in order to be closer to the man and possible new ally. "And along the way you may find riches, glory, and all the other things that are so very human to want." She added in a coo finally, before turning from the man in order to gesture ahead of them further down the streets of the lawless city. "And one day, Perhaps - Even make this whole city our own." She concluded, trying to entice the other further into accepting her offer as she turned back to him and gave him an analytical gaze.

"It might sound sudden, strange, or perhaps outright insane. But I promise you that if you trust in me, allow me to become your ally rather than a stranger - All that I said, will come true, and much more.." She had added after looking to Kaijo before then offering her hand for him to shake if he would accept the offer she had laid out before him. "What do you say..?" She prodded, trying to elicit a response from the man as she tilted her head to the side somewhat in a curious manner while waiting, seeming so strangely normal for someone who spoke about such fantastical things.

What came next, would depend upon his choice of words and his decision on the offer that Hikaru had made - Acceptance or Refusal here would likely have pretty severe consequences for the man's future either way.
